MU:CON 2017, an international music fair hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), invites 64 musical acts from around the world to perform at the festival that kicks off in Seoul on Sept. 26.
The Korean representatives from various musical genres like legendary rock band YB, popular R&B singer Crush and hip-hop duo Dok2 & The Quiett will join the two-day event at Sangam DMC building in Mapo-gu, western Seoul.
The music fair aims to highlight Seoul as Asia's leading music business market, focusing on interaction and communication between the Asian and global music industries. This is the sixth edition of the event promoted by the agency under the Korean government's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST).
Various events will be held during MU:CON, such as talks on the latest trends in the global music industry with the world's top music specialists and seminars with music experts sharing their practical knowhow in music marketing, distribution, recording and mixing techniques.
The festival features K-pop, rock, jazz and indie musicians. A collaboration between three groups of K-pop singers and Grammy-winning producers will be unveiled as well.
